LAPPONIA

Lapponia celebrates the 20 years of cooperation

French jewelry designer Christophe Burger has been designing impressive and stunningly detailed pieces for Lapponia since 1989. His first Lapponia collection, Marine grise, combined yellow and black gold together with colourful stones and diamonds. First Lapponia silver collection by Burger was introduced in 1992.

Lapponia is now celebrating twenty years of cooperation with a silver bracelet designed by Christophe Burger. The bracelet features four of his favorite pattern designs from over the years. The bracelet’s patterned oval segments are like stones on a path, joined with burnished silver links. The master of wordplay has once again given his creation a fitting name – Exsamples.

In addition to Lapponia, he has been making unique pieces of jewelry at his own workshop, in Colmar, France since 1977 and showing his work in many galleries and museums worldwide.

Christophe Burger is thankful for the cooperation with Lapponia: ”Working for this company taught me - and still does - what it means to create within a definite frame : stylewise, technically, economically and humanly. Compared to my solitary research work in my studio, creating collections for Lapponia is a totally different challenge. Humanly, I can verify each time I work in Helsinki, what it means to be in a team. The energy inputs are obviously and powerfully dedicated to efficiency, at all levels, which makes the whole adventure also exciting as a group experience.”
