LAPPONIA PARTNERSHIP WITH EUROPA NOSTRA

- Part of the sales proceeds of Pretty Earth necklace will be donated to help Europa Nostra in safeguarding Europe´s cultural and natural heritage

The Pretty Earth necklace by Finnish jewelry company Lapponia has been inspired by Earth and its well-being. The necklace is designed by Danish jewelry designer Poul Havgaard. Part of the sales proceeds of Pretty Earth necklace are donated to Europa Nostra. Internationally well-known Europa Nostra is the voice of Cultural Heritage in Europe, aiming to safeguard Europe´s cultural and natural heritage.

Throughout its 50-year history, Lapponia Jewelry has been the most renowned Finnish jewelry brand. The pioneer in jewelry art, founded in 1960, has concluded a three-year partnership agreement with the highly esteemed Europa Nostra. “Lapponia has always followed its own revolutionary way and trusted in its bold intuition. Our passion is to create unique art-jewelry design inspired by our beautiful Nordic nature. I believe, that even though Lapponia´s revolution still continues strong, we also take responsibility in cherishing its cultural design heritage. Part of the sales proceeds of the Pretty Earth necklace will be donated to Europa Nostra to support their important work in safeguarding Europe´s cultural and natural heritage. The jewelry is a classic necklace designed by Danish sculptor and jewelry designer Poul Havgaard. With the necklace Havgaard wanted to express his feelings towards the preservation of our Globe. “Pretty Earth is my message toeveryone. Our Globe is full of beauty and worth of protecting. Our future depends of its well-being.”

In June 2010 at the Annual Congress in Istanbul, the world-renowed tenor and conductor Placido Domingo, became the President of Europa Nostra.
